In his eyes
wild flavors of sky
stormy brightness
singeing her edges of willpower
striking electric in her soul
it is here
she needs to stay
tasting every offering

I have found that writing an emotion is both a response to feeling that emotion and a feeding of that emotion. So that what I write about grows. And thus writing becomes an act of creation of self. A conjuring of the my own future emotions. And that for me is part of the intoxicating addiction that writing about love and desire has become.

Oops, forgot to add the question. Do you or other people you know feel the same, or is it more of simply a response to an existing emotion?

I think what you said is correct for probably
many writers. We respond but we have to feed emotion in order to feel alive. Thanks for the thought provoking comment.
