Deprived

deprived

Deprived of your flesh

writing poetry with mine

empty blankness

wrapping me in cold shivers

warmth of our lines combining

distant memories

still held in night stars

No Rules

Games

How dare you put rules

to games we play

I cannot be trapped

inside boundaries

restrained from desires

I must fulfill

in ways my body leads

without my mind

free me

with conscience sound

knowing I’ll play the game

until the final prize

is mine

yet you, too, are a winner

Fall From Grace

rose petal

He caught

her fall from grace

arms soft and strong

forgiving and embracing

he held her long

kissed sin and pain away

gently lay her

on a bed of rose petal whispers

where poetry breathed life

into hollows of her heart

beats returned

in steady rhythm

while his hand

felt each and every one

and his smile

gave promise

to her lost soul

Dare She?

princes

A young woman…

two princes in her eyes…

one held her hand for years

another just touched it

__

Magical thrills coursed through veins

where never before

was such warmth and fire

streaming giddiness

ruled her every sigh and smile

songbirds filled her mornings

with music rivaling angelic choirs

Yet how could this be?

She had another love

steady and true

her comfort and rock

always there

always there

but that was it

simply there

not a magnetism

pulling every emotion

into a carnival whirlwind

Dare she chase

where flutters led her?

Dare she chance

a dance with erratic heartbeats?

Dare she follow

mysterious whisperings of her mind?

If she did not dare

longing uncertainty

and unsung love songs

would surely

wither her soul

and she would never forgive herself

for not being brave

Poems on a Page

poems on a page

I feel your breath

in poems upon my page

and mine warm upon you

as you read them

notes of passion

seemingly just jotted in ink

on stark white nothing

but it is

something

something more than alive

something more than a heartbeat

it is me

in flesh and bone

mind and body

uncut

unpolished

and undone in every way

Sweet Surrender

sweet surrender

It is to you

I surrender

falling in

deeper and deeper

free floating

underneath dreams

where magic exists

and I’m never cold

I want to fall like this

forever

your hand holding mine

let’s leave the world behind

and make our own

Take Me to the Limit

limit

If you could take me

to the limit

how high would we soar?

Would wings fly us

over days needing to be

abandoned, left behind

in ashes?

Would clouds float us

through rivers of sorrow

into waterfalls gushing pure, crystal joy?

Would you hands become

saviors of my flesh

climbing with me

until we fall

into ecstasy’s sudden sighs

catapulting into star highways

of divine pleasure?

If you could take me

to the limit

how high would be soar?
